Holdkey is available for all Windows versions.
Holdkey works on all keyboards.

The lastest version of Holdkey version 4.0 fixes some bugs and adds a much requested option
to automatically suspend Holdkey when some selected programs are active.

If you install version 4.0 you will probably see the Microsoft Defender Smartscreen. See images below.
You need to click 'more info' and 'run anyway' to install version 4.0
After clicking more info you will see Channels B.V as verified publisher.

It is absolutely safe but it takes some time by Microsoft to remove this warning.
The previous version 3.4 already passed this issue and does not give this warning.
